Who needs a title?

It was my Roomie's birthday this past week. She decided to head down to the coast and left me home alone all weekend. Friday night I was invited out, but decided I wanted to sit around and do nothing. Friday night I couldn't get to sleep very well and on Saturday and could just never get up the energy to do the work that needed to get done around the house. Was all sorts of tired and had a headache. Finally took some pills for that and then started to sweat, must of had a bit of a fever. Had a sore throat all week from allergies...but today I'm much better.

On Wed (Roomie's actual date of birth), I baked a cake and we invited a couple of friends over to share on cake and ice cream. We all work together and had to be back on Thurs and nothing too intoxicating was necessary, also Roomie is not of legal drinking age...but that's an entirely different post to explain our relationship...so we didn't want to go out. Well in the course of baking cake that also turned into cooking dinner for Roomie, BoyToy (her's not mine), and me. So I needed to do all of the dishes and fully clean the kitchen.

So today I have been productive, I cleaned the shower, cat area, laundry room, and vaccuumed the place...dishes get finished up tonight and then back to work on Monday.

Welcome one, welcome...all?

Will anyone see this? Maybe eventually, but I wanted to make my mark on the net. Maybe give my perspective if anyone wants to read it or just give myself the outlet I need. So let's do the introductions...I'm Kyle aka Spoonman. It's actually a nickname from high school...it's a long uneventful story, but needless to say I decided not to fight the "popular" guys when they started to call me by it and then they stopped and I'm wondering what's the point of a nickname if no one actually uses it, but it's the one I've had that's the most attention grabbing.

My favorite nickname I got was from my friends in college... Mel decided to give everyone new names if their current one didn't fit. I was too "bubbly" for the plain old Kyle...so I became Kee-Lai. There have been multiple spellings of the name such as: Key-Lay, KiLei, or when someone was very excited to see me KEEEEEEEEEEE-LAAAAAAAY. Needless to say I haven't found myself getting that sort of reaction from anyone in a long time...kinda miss it...I also miss those friends from college. I only get to see a few on a regular basis. We are the kind of friends that when we do meet back up we pick up right where we left off...get caught up on all of the gossip from everyone else we know. I should plan a reunion in a couple of months...and hey I guess I'll blog it when it happens.

Be Good!
